We started their Engagement Photography at Shipwreck’s and walked the trail looking towards Maha’ulepu Beach, casually stopping at several tropical backdrops along the way. Their engagement session took place bright and early as the soft summer sunlight blanketed Secret Beach, along Kauai’s North Shore. Julia and I were so happy for this chance to capture the radiant beauty, compassionate spirit, and contagious laughter that Tiara and Mat always provide. Set against the natural backdrop at one of my favorite locations, these two looked smokin’ hot together as all the elements fell into place for spectacular imagery. Can’t wait for the wedding!!!

Usually, we try to plan photo sessions around sunny afternoon weather, but in this case we definitely took a gamble leaving for the North Shore in a rainstorm. Luckily the rain stopped just it time, gracing us with misty mountains and a dramatic skyline for an incredible backdrop. Aletha and Robert shared several special moments as the sun started to break through the clouds. We were so happy to take pictures at one of our favorite places with two of our great friends. Enjoying dinner together afterwards was such a treat too! We can’t wait for their September wedding at the Kiahuna Plantation on the sunny South Shore of Kauai.

CLICK HERE for a little pre-wedding peek into Brittany and Jeff’s tropical getaway to Kauai. They planned an island-hopping “research trip” to scout for incredible beaches and possible wedding locations. After thorough visits to Oahu, Maui and Kauai, it was the natural beauty of the Garden Island that exceeded all expectations and was the clear winner for their destination wedding. Now the challenge will be practicing patience as they eagerly await that special day. Having known Jeff since high school, it was a special treat to catch up with him and finally meet his beautiful fiancee. Capturing incredible imagery of the two sharing laughs and warm embraces was icing on the cake. Aloha and come back soon!

CLICK HERE to take a gander at this incredible local style wedding in our new hometown of Kapaa on Kauai! The ohana has welcomed us into their lives as well as allowing us to photograph their most memorable moments. The entire event took place at the Kauai Coast Resort with a stunning ocean-view ceremony and a gourmet reception at the Hukilau Lanai restaurant. The event was jam packed with Tahitian and Hula dancing, live musical performances, and a special surprise from the bride and groom. These guys definitely know how to party… you’ve got to check it out!

It was an amazing day on the hidden South Shore beaches as Natalie and Scott took some time off from their busy schedule of wedding planning to enjoy each other and the incredible surroundings. They’ve been such great friends to us during our move and it was a pleasure to capture their passionate love. It’s hard to believe, but Natalie and Scott’s personalities are even more beautiful than they appear in the photographs!
